Parts Department Manager

Clay Cooley Hyundai of Dallas is looking for an experienced, self-motivated, and professional Parts Manager to keep up with the increasing product demand. This individual will strive to generate a profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. The Parts Manager must utilize appropriate purchasing procedures, inventory control, personnel utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising.
Job Duties:
- Forecasts and meets goals and objectives; The Parts Manager prepares and oversees an annual operational budget for the Parts Department.
- Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all parts department personnel. The Parts Manager develops, enforces, and monitors guidelines for working with customers to guarantee maximum customer satisfaction.
- Maintains a consistent inventory that meets the requirements of the service department, body shop, wholesale accounts.
- Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient revenue to generate a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty.
- Confirms that all parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory and supervises stock order procedures.
- Partners with the Service Manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs. The Parts Manager oversees shipping and receives assistance to ensure a timely processing.
Job Requirements:
- Stand, walk, or sit for a long period without resting. (Up to 5 hours) Must have the capability to lift to 100 pounds.
- Basic math strategies include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
