Automation Engineer

This position is critical to the success of the prototype production areas. The automation engineer will work directly for the technical support group at the OTC to maintain/improve the new and existing prototype and R&D equipment. The position requires a very good understanding of PLC PC and Visual Basics controls logic platforms to be able to support the various production equipment. This position requires the ability to work with other groups within Autoliv to resolve complex and challenging projects.

What youll do:

• Equipment programming for the prototype areas.
• Utilizing existing Autoliv programming standards to program equipment to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
• Must be able to handle the stress of equipment downtime and handling multiple projects at the same time.
• Helping multiple areas as needed

What is required:

• Minimum of a bachelors degree in engineering with an emphasis in electronics mechatronics or similar
• Fluent English is required Spanish skills would be nice to have
• This position requires a very good knowledge of PLC PC and Visual Basic controls logic. Extensive PC working knowledge a plus. Desired 5 yrs experience
• Effective written and verbal communication is required
• Work in a team atmosphere
