Job description

A healthcare organization in Central New York is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff at one of their inpatient psychiatric facilities in Binghamton.

About the Opportunity:

• Assignment Length: 6+ months
• Shift: Nights (5 shifts a week)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (every other Saturday & Sunday)
• Hours: 11pm to 7:30am
• Setting: Inpatient Mental Health Facility

Responsibilities:

The Inpatient Mental Health Nurse (RN) will:

• Assess the patients' physical needs
• Administer medication
• Admit, discharge, and transfer patients based on Physician orders
• Assist with procedures and physical exams
• Record appropriate progress notes and other data into the patients' medical record
• Draw blood, collect vital signs, etc.
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of Clinical experience
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification

Desired Skills:

• 1+ years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
