As a Tax Director you will lead the strategic vision of the tax department manage client relationships and ensure rigorous compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Tax Leadership:
- Formulate and execute the tax departments strategic direction in harmony with overall business goals.
- Provide visionary leadership defining strategic priorities and overseeing their effective implementation.
Client Engagement:
- Spearhead and supervise highprofile tax engagements for a diverse clientele.
- Cultivate enduring client relationships through adept communication and superior service delivery.
Team Oversight:
- Manage the tax department comprehensively overseeing recruitment training and mentorship initiatives.
- Cultivate a collaborative and highperformance work culture.
Tax Planning and Advisory:
- Offer expert counsel on intricate tax matters encompassing corporate tax planning and M&A transactions.
- Stay abreast of dynamic changes in tax laws ensuring proactive and informed client services.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and submission of federal state and local tax returns.
- Ensure steadfast compliance with pertinent tax laws and regulations.
Client Acquisition:
- Collaborate with firm leadership to identify and pursue new business prospects.
- Participate actively in client presentations and proposals to secure new engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field; CPA and/or MST credentials are advantageous.
- A track record of 10 years in progressive tax accounting with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
- Profound knowledge of federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
- Exemplary leadership communication and client management skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
