Job Summary
Preferred Care at Home of Wyoming Valley is looking for a compassionate and engaged Part-Time Caregiver to provide essential care for our clients. Our Caregiver will be responsible for visiting and working with multiple clients a day, helping them remain safe and comfortable in their own homes. This is an individual contributor role and providing private-duty home care services in Luzerne County & Lackawanna County.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a part-time/full-time, hourly position with a competitive hourly starting rate of $14.00 per hour. In addition, Preferred Care at Home of Wyoming Valley offers flexible scheduling, paid time off, and other benefits.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to clients in the comfort and safety of their own home
- Provide clients with daily living assistance, including bath and showering assistance, toileting assistance, and reminding clients to take prescribed medications
- Communicate openly and honestly with clients and their families about progress and concerns
- Document accurately and timely, client information in compliance with regulations
- Participate actively in the onboarding, training, mentoring, and ongoing support meetings and activities
- Adhere to Preferred Care at Home of Wyoming Valley’s policies and procedures
Requirements
- 18+ Years of age
- At least 1-year experience in providing care for others
- A valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel to client’s homes
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 25 pounds
- A current CPR/First Aid certification
