Job description
Our company is seeking qualified candidates with a strong work ethic to join our growing services business. This position entails operating lubrication oil services skids as well as performing basic onsite lubrication oil testing at various customer locations throughout the Gulf Coast Region with a focus on South Louisiana.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Visual rounds for lubrication activities and/or execution of industrial PM’s.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the lubrication process.
- Maintain product inventory and keep storeroom organized.
- Maintain proper min/max of packaging products.
- Top off oil reservoirs or grease equipment when needed with correct product and proper technique.
- Retrieve oil samples from various pieces of equipment while maintaining sample integrity.
- Operate filtration, dehydration, and pumping equipment.
- Maintains accurate records for quality control of lubricant packaging and storage including sample retention.
- Removes oil from sump and oil water separator and stores in waste oil tank; notifies disposal company for waste oil and used sorbent material pickup and disposal.
- Equipment operation. (Forklift, truck, aerial lift, ext.)
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Skills/Qualifications Requirements
- 2+ years of Industrial or Offshore Lube Oil experience, preferred.
- OMA (Oil Monitoring Analyst), MLA (Machine Lubricant Analyst), or MLT (Machinery Lubrication Tech.) certifications are a plus.
- TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential), current or ability to obtain one.
- ICML (International Council for Machinery Lubrication) certification is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain plant safety clearances.
- Knowledge of Rotating Equipment is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Clean Driving Record.
- Must always be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral.
- Skilled in operating forklifts, pumps, hoses, air compressors, impact guns, and vehicles.
- Able to work flexible schedules including on-call as needed.
- Basic Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- High School diploma/GED.
