Job description
Are you a behavioral health APRN looking to make an impact and help children and families in our community?
As our Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you will have the opportunity to help youth and their families in rural Nebraska by providing behavioral health crisis intervention and prevention services, while working as part of an interdisciplinary team at our new behavioral health urgent care facility in Kearney.
Schedule: We will consider candidates interested in full time, part time, and casual work. Open to late morning, afternoon, and evening coverage.
The skills set we are seeking include crisis assessment that focuses on first session stabilization, provision of initial intervention skills, and brief treatment planning. It will be essential that successful candidates are trauma care informed. Services at this location will include social work case management, care navigation, basic lab draws, and therapy, including telehealth will be added as the program develops.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education as required by Department of Health and Human Services-Regulation and Licensure Credentialing Division as represented by APRN licensure in the state of Nebraska.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, APRN, or NP in Psychiatric Patient Care
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in state of Nebraska.
Current certification as a Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body.
BCLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association.
DEA License within 30 days of hire.
