Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Master's or J.D. preferred. Experience in manufacturing, law, supply chain, or operations. Aerospace experience preferred. Experience in relevant compliance activities.

Position Purpose :

Provide comprehensive compliance program support for Gulfstream UK and broader EMEA operations and activities, management and leadership to enable operations through execution in a compliant manner with respect to applicable international trade (import, VAT, export controls, sanctions), anti-bribery and anti-corruption, privacy, and other regulations, policies, procedures, and work methods.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Manage, support, guide and provide issue resolution for relevant compliance requirements applicable to assigned facility/function operations, with a focus on the EMEA region, to include parts, aircraft, technical data and foreign persons, and establish, implement and monitor processes to support those requirements .
  2. Motivate, develop, support, and guide all facility/functional SMEs, management and leadership compliant activity applicable to the facility/function operations, and ensure facility/function compliance with regulations, policy and procedure .
  3. Develop and implement guidelines and processes to ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements .
  4. Provide sound on-site decision making for compliance matters which fall within delegated responsibility .
  5. Foster open communication and teamwork, internally and with external stakeholders .
  6. Lead inter-departmental teams to conduct compliance activities within assigned facility/function .
  7. Manage facility/function specific compliance projects within scope of responsibility .
  8. Lead compliance related monitoring, investigations, audits, and assessments for assigned facility/function .
  9. Conduct engagement compliance training and awareness activities .
  10. Provide periodic reports to Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and site leadership on relevant facility/function trade and other compliance activity .
  11. Manage facility/function Foreign Person access program in coordination with Facility security .
  12. Develop and maintain adequate recordkeeping systems for compliance activity within assigned facility/function .
  13. Assist with Local Ethics Officer responsibilities and initiatives .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of Mfg, Eng, Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, Tax, Sales, Technology.
  2. Ability to interpret complex regulations and make operational decisions regarding those regulations.
  3. Experience with HMRC customs and VAT regulations, OFSI and SFO regulations, and other relevant regulations for operations in UK.
  4. Experience with management of Inward/Outward Process Relief, Customs Warehouse, and other Customs related regimes.
  5. Experience and knowledge of the UK Bribery Act, the UK GDPR, and other regulatory regimes applicable to UK operations.
  6. Experience within EMEA region with respect to relevant compliance requirements, particularly for the EU, Switzerland, UAE, and other relevant jurisdictions.
  7. Knowledge of US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control regulations, and Customs regulations as may be applicable to US Persons operating outside of US.
  8. Experience developing and conducting compliance training and awareness activities.
  9. Ability to establish relationships with local Govt Agencies, leadership and operational peers to facilitate activities critical to program success.
  10. Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple competing priorities.
  11. Position will be responsible to manage geographically separated facilities.
