The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a  Digital Communications Intern to be part of the Global Communications team in our Akron Headquarters . As a digital communications intern, you will work across the Global External and Internal Communications teams and be tasked with various responsibilities aimed at enhancing the organization's digital presence. Your assignments may include creating and scheduling content, drafting messages, updating the company website with relevant content, monitoring engagement metrics, and supporting monthly reporting. Additionally, you may collaborate with other functions to ensure consistency in messaging and branding, as well as contribute ideas for optimizing digital communication channels to reach and engage target audiences effectively and identifying opportunities for the programs to grow and scale in 2024 and beyond. You will also be a member of the team that is planning for the Goodyear Blimp’s 100th Anniversary.

Digital channels will include:

• Goodyear NOW – Goodyear’s global internal communications platform
• LinkedIn – Goodyear corporate and leadership accounts
• Goodyear Voices – Goodyear’s social media ambassador program
• Goodyear’s corporate website - Corporate.Goodyear.com

To join our team, you will need:

Current Education : Student in Communications, Journalism, or related field.

Demonstrated Skills:

• A strong understanding of digital platforms and how people consume content
• Previous internship experience
• Excellent communicator, strong team player, customer focus, delivery focus, networking skills
• A proactive, curious mindset that seeks to find solutions and solves problems.
• Ability to work cross-functionally.
• Excellent writing skills.
