Application Technology Researcher
Application Technology Researcher for Chesterfield, MO to design, execute & report results of laboratory and field experiments; evaluate biological & chemical formulations using laboratory equipment and testing devices; develop data systems & digital tools to record, store, access and visualize data for predictive models and research decisions; acquire, evaluate & maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation; devise & document testing procedures; design & validate application and pipeline testing; recommend mixing, storage, handling & application limitations for biological and chemical field testing; maintain laboratory & ensure adherence to safety processes; train researchers. Requires Master’s in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Biochemistry or closely-related field & 1 yr experience developing & evaluating biological and/or chemical formulations for agricultural science applications; designing, conducting & communicating results of laboratory experiments using wet chemistry and analytical techniques, including rheology, particle size evaluation, viscosity, microscopy, conductivity and/or density, and chemical instrumentation; building & adopting digital tools to record, store, access and/or visualize data with work streams and share data with domestic and/or global stakeholders and/or collaborators; acquiring, selecting & maintaining chemical inventory and laboratory equipment; applying safety processes to laboratory activities, including understanding & maintaining safety data sheets; and evaluating agrochemical labels to select & assess laboratory test equipment and experiments. Up to 5% domestic & int’l travel req’d. Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of Chesterfield, MO up to 1 day per week.
