Job description

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Java Software Engineer to join our Technical Solutions team in either Huntsville, AL or Lexington, MA. As a Java Software Engineer at our company, you will be an integral part of a team of experienced and passionate engineers and scientists dedicated to developing software that supports the modernization of advanced radars, optical systems, and other missile test range instrumentation.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
Experience in complex systems, software design and analysis, and testing and validation of complex systems.
Ability to obtain an active secret clearance.

Required Skills:

We are looking for candidates with:

Proficiency in Java, particularly with J2EE.
Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and existing code bases.

Additional Qualifications:

It would be advantageous if you also bring:

Experience with Java build systems (Gradle / Maven / Etc.).
Working knowledge of webservices (Apache Tomcat).
Java EE experience.
Linux (Red Hat) development experience.
Proficiency in multiple programming and scripting languages (C/C++/Python/MATLAB).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Static Code Analysis tools, with Fortify experience preferred.
Knowledge of distributed systems, communication middleware, real-time software, asynchronous messaging, IP networks, desktop user interface frameworks (Eclipse Rich Client Platform), and hardware device control, monitoring, and data acquisition.
Understanding of RF concepts, radio systems, and digital communications.
