Job description
Lead Software Engineer
LufCo is looking for a Lead Software Engineer shall have a minimum of 10 years of experience in software programs involved with code production with a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. The Contractor shall provide a Lead Software Engineer responsible for facilitating agile
DEVSECOPS processes and discussions among development and customer team
members to achieve optimum software solutions.
Location: This is a hybrid (remote and onsite) position, with 40% in-office support at our LufCo office located in Havre de Grace, MD.
The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for the following duties: - Apply computer science concepts and principles in the development of software for the applicable applications
- Apply in-depth knowledge of project management
- Design, develop, integrate, and test software for applications to meet system level requirements
- Manage large complex projects through software design, development, and test
- High level of familiarity with software patterns and modern design methodology
- Experience doing software development on Windows and/or Linux based platforms
- Software Planning (Development Plan, Build Plan, Sprint Plans)
- Familiarity with developing software to meet cybersecurity related software requirements/constraints
- Familiarity with network architectures and communication protocols
The Contractor shall ensure the Lead Software Engineer has hands-on experience working
with tools and technologies in, at a minimum, two of the following areas: software
development, configuration control, testing, automation, containerization, orchestration,
cloud services, open-source technologies.
Requirements: - A Secret level Clearance is required
- B.S. degree in Computer Science or other related field is required
- Ten (10) years of Experience with computer systems engineering and/or software development
- Former Army or other service (military/civillan/Contractor) a junior EWO or 17E, alternative 170A or B preferred.
