Head Golf Professional
Golf Club in Wailea, Hawaii is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Essential Responsibilities:
• Formulates, develops, and implements customer relations and customer service programs and policies to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction which will result in expanding the customer base.
• Must have an in-depth understanding of financial statements and reports and strong ability to analyze performance trends and weaknesses.
• Prepares and executes the budget for the Company’s largest department and must possess strong financial management skills.
• Directs the efforts of the Golf Operations Managers/Assistant Golf Professionals, all of whom engage in managing and administering the daily activities of the Gold/Emerald golf shop operations.
• Directs, motivates, trains, and develops golf shop management personnel and team members to develop an effective and efficient golf shop operation.
• Formulates, establishes and implements operating policies and procedures consistent with a world-class resort standard.
• Develops, cultivates, and implements a strong team culture. This includes safe and desirable work environments, proper training programs for successful Team Member experiences, regular feedback sessions with team members, and ensuring the overall culture is maintained at the highest level.
• Directs, controls, and manages Gold/Emerald golf shop operations to maximize efficiency and control costs.
• Reviews and analyzes daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial performance reports/statistics and promptly addresses material differences from budget/forecast projections.
• Works with the Sales/Marketing Director in coordinating and organizing group tournaments and other special events, including conducting pre-planning meetings, preparing group master contracts, and obtaining group’s evaluation or comments.
• Manages the rental club program and oversees all equipment maintenance and replacement (particularly golf carts and phone system).
• Interfaces with hotel management and personnel, members, customers, group coordinators, VIP’s and other appropriate parties to determine effectiveness of customer service and customer relations programs; modify programs to increase effectiveness.
• Directs, monitors, and administers the implementation of all standard safety regulations and safety programs to minimize industrial accidents and equipment damage.

Requirements:
Class “A” member of the PGA of America is preferable.
Three to five years supervisory management skills and experience.
Experience working in a world-class resort and multi-golf course experience desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good public contact, sales techniques, customer service skills.
Previous retail merchandising or golf shop management experience.
Knowledge of golf shop/tee sheet/POS systems.
Familiarity with tournament software and fleet management software.
Knowledge of Excel, Word, and other programs.
Degree in business administration preferable.

Compensation:
$80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year.
