Job description
Position Overview : The Staff Geologist is responsible for conducting geological studies and analyses to identify and characterize geologic materials, soils, vapors, hydrologic properties, and other subsurface conditions. This position is also responsible for collecting data related to geology, hydrogeology, soil, and related environmental engineering topics.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct geological studies and analyses to identify and characterize geological materials, soils, vapors, hydrologic properties, and other subsurface conditions.
- Collect data related to geology, hydrogeology, soil properties, and other environmental engineering topics.
- Utilize logging and other geotechnical instruments to collect data in the field.
- Develop and maintain data collection systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Generate reports and presentations to document project progress and results.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field.
- 2+ years experience in geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of geologic materials, soils, and vapors.
- Experience with data collection systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Experience with logging and other geotechnical instruments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
