The Consumer Packaging-North America Division has an immediate need for a Senior Technical Development Engineer to support our rapidly growing business activities and manufacturing locations. This role will support business by developing technical plans for new capital projects and support Product Development, PLM and Operations on Continuous Improvement opportunities. The Sr Technical Development Engineer will report directly to the Technical Development Manager.

 

 

1. Collaborating with the Product Development team to establish new capital projects based on capacity analyses and cost saving opportunities.

2. Collaborating with the cross-functional departments including Op’s, tooling, process engineering, machine, automation, etc., to find ways to optimize processes and operational efficiencies.

3. Support quoting activities for PLM and Operations.

4. Preparing reports and status updates with relevant information to intended audience.

5. Support PD team during challenging mold debug and qualifications.

6. Support PD throughout the Product design and development phases.

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.

· 10+ years plastic industry experience.

· Relevant experience related to product development, product design, tooling design, and manufacturing related to injection molding.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Demonstrated ability to solve problems related to new product development.

· Ability to travel as needed.
