The candidate filling thisfull-timeposition will join our collaborative, innovative, and customer-centric culture. Position Summary: The Accounting Assistant works closely with the Accounting Lead/Staff Accountant and will report to MIRACORP’s Chief Financial Officer. This position requires solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. This position will perform routine accounting activities such as data entry, maintenance of accounting files, maintenance and development of Excel workbooks and other various accounting tasks as assigned. This position works closely with other members of a collaborative corporate team. Responsibilities:

+ Processes AP and AR transactions accurately

+ Reconciles payments, receipts, vendor accounts, vendor invoices, customer accounts and other accounting transactions.

+ Investigates coding questions, deposits, credit card disputes, vendor inquiries, and miscellaneous requests from external and internal customers.

+ Reconciles multiple bank accounts, credit card statements and general ledger accounts.

+ Supports duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

+ Assists with processing weekly timecards.

+ Process payroll via third party payroll system for 250+ employees.

+ Researches and resolves discrepancies in a timely fashion.

+ Maintains confidentiality of all financial data.

+ Compiles and prepares routine reports and summaries.

+ Supports internal customers with timekeeping system questions.

Qualifications

Your Education & Experience:

+ Associate degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred.

+ 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting/bookkeeping.

+ Advanced knowledge of Excel and Excel formulas.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

+ Strong professional writing and grammatical skills.

+ Attention to detail and organizational skills is a must.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a collaborative office setting.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Cash Reconciliation.

+ Must possess a strong customer service attitude.

+ Paycom experience a plus.

+ Strong problem-solving skills.

+ Knowledge of 10-key.

+ Knowledge of various financial accounting systems preferred.
