Stratas Foods LLC is the leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America and is a producer of quality bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise and sauces. Stratas Foods was formed in October 2008 as a 50/50 joint venture between ACH Food Companies (ACH) and Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).

Manufacturing facilities are located in Dallas and Houston, TX; Decatur and Quincy, IL; Englewood, NJ; Fresno, CA; Nashville, TN; and Valdosta, GA. Corporate offices are located in Memphis, TN. Job Description

Maintain equipment to optimum operating condition by following the proper maintenance schedule and assist operator when called.

1. Maintain equipment to optimum operating condition by following the proper maintenance schedule and assist operator when called.
2. Daily; equipment start up, make sure compressor, glue pots and printers are running properly.
3. Assist operators with equipment mechanical problems.
4. Work on work orders when possible,
5. Weekly; Keep shop organize and clean.
6. Control replacement parts inventory. Let supervisor know in writing what’s needed.
7. Control replacement parts inventory. Let supervisor know in writing what’s needed.
8. Follow all safety programs; lock/out tag/out programs and proper welding program.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and Technical degree and/or minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

Related Experience : Minimum 5 years of maintenance on packaging equipment or related mechanical equipment

Equipment/Software Skills : MSOffice, AS400

Competencies:

1. Must be able to work with others, teamwork and communication.
2. Must be a safe person and think before acting to maintain a safe work environment.
3. Must have a good sense of time management, what it takes to get the job done.

Additional Information

Physical:  Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. several times a day Must be able to work on elevations of 10 feet or more. Occasionally. Must be able to crawl, lift and bend throughout the day.

Sensory: Must have proper vision either with glasses or not, required to identify small parts writing and proper settings. Must have good hearing, as to identify unusual noises on equipment and as a safety concern.

Mental/Reasoning : .Must think safety first, will be working with machines and people. Production oriented. Prevent problems and downtime by thinking ahead, preventive maintenance and constant inspections
