Job description

Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) seeks an experienced and dynamic elementary educator to join us as a Lead Teacher/Advisor in one of our Lower School (1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd , or 4 th ) classrooms for the 2024-2025 school year. As the only Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12 independent school in Central New York, MPH provides the guidance and resources for students to develop and pursue their interests in a healthy and engaging educational setting. MPH has the flexibility to respond to our students and their needs while being guided by best practices, research-based curricula, and current Mind-Brain-Education (MBE) research. Our small class sizes result in transformative relationships between students and faculty, which strengthen character, build resilience, and foster self-confidence. The responsibilities of this position will include working with children, teachers, and parents to contribute to a supportive environment that is responsive to student needs and interests. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree and/or teaching experience at the elementary level is preferred. Training, knowledge and/or teaching experience with the Science of Reading, Singapore Math, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and Diversity Equity Belonging (DEB) is ideal. Training in Orton Gillingham (through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education) will be provided as well as opportunities for Professional Development through the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning (CTTL) and in LETRS Structured Literacy Training. 

This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and life insurance as well as an employer-matching retirement savings plan. Annual salary range is $47-60k.
