The Senior Director of Behavioral Health Programs reports to the CEO and works as part of the Executive Leadership team. They provide direct oversight of our Outpatient Behavioral Health Program and also provide administrative oversight to the Birch Program. The Birch Program accepts referrals from the state hospital and the local jail to provide services to individuals who are participating in the Aid and Assist program.
What we are looking for:
- Programmatic Leadership: A licensed clinician with a strong ability to provide strategic leadership and direction for our Behavioral Health Programs, which includes an outpatient behavioral health program and the transitional shelter & services program for the Aid and Assist population. We are seeking a leader to provide increased access to services and guidance to ensure our services are aligned with our mission values. Expertise in co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders will be crucial to success in this role.
- Strategy and Administration: The Senior Director of Behavioral Health Programs is responsible for developing clinical policies and procedures throughout the agency, responsible for all aspects of state and federal clinical regulatory compliance, ensuring staff are properly trained and credentialed, and that participants receive appropriate and ethical care. We need someone who is highly proficient in utilizing technology, especially Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, agency risk management/assessment, and is experienced in Medicaid billing. This role will involve ensuring that our practice is in full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role is responsible for reviewing, signing and auditing clinical charts.
- Experience and Passion: A strong background in providing clinical support services to adults with mental health issues, and housing instability. Someone who understands the social determinants of health, trauma-informed treatment modalities, harm reduction, person centered care, strength based approach, crisis de escalation, assertive engagement as well as other evidenced based practices.
- Clinical Supervision, Mentorship and Ethics: The Senior Director of Behavioral Health Programs will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, mentorship, and guidance to our team of therapists, skills trainers, and peer support specialists. We are seeking a leader with a strong background in evidence-based treatment who is able to foster a supportive and collaborative environment within our team. Someone who has a comprehensive understanding of the ethical responsibilities and guidelines set forth by the Oregon State Professional Licensing Board.
- Communication and Collaboration: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are vital for this role. We are seeking a person who can effectively communicate with both our internal team and external stakeholders, fostering a positive and supportive environment within the facility.

This role is a full-time position located in Eugene, OR. There is the possibility of hybrid work once the trial period has been successfully passed. This position will work Monday through Friday.
Starting Pay: $97,287 and $107,482 per year depending on a number of factors. This role is eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits after 60 days of employment.

Education:
●Masters Degree (Required)
Experience:
● human services or counseling: 3 years (Required)
● clinical supervisory: 4 years (Preferred)
● Adult counseling or program management: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
● Oregon Counseling License (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) (Required)
