The Position:
In this crucial role, the Finance & Administration Manager will oversee both financial and administrative functions within the company to ensure the smooth operation of business processes. Additionally, s/he will directly supervise the Accounts Payable & Purchasing Clerk, the Shipping & Receiving Manager, the Firearms Compliance Manager, and the Human Resources Generalist.
Major responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Directly responsible for all invoicing and payment processing for accounts receivable.
- Manage cash flow and ensure financial sustainability.
- Develop annual budgets in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Monitor budget performance and provide financial insights to management.
- Oversee HR administrative tasks, including payroll, benefits administration, and employee records, and the recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Oversee the accuracy of all packing orders and shipments.
- Ensure compliance with financial and firearms regulations, tax laws, and labor laws.
- Identify and assess financial and operational risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage all aspects of the relationship with our outside IT vendor.
- Collaborate with executive leadership in strategic planning.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in finance leadership roles, with a focus on strategic financial management.
- Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
