LaSalle Network is partnering with an HVAC and plumbing supplier looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This company has been around for over 100+ years fulfilling the industry standards. They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with expertise in Workday to join their team.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:

• Efficiently manage the end-to-end accounts payable process
• Review and process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Verify invoice details, including purchase order matching, coding, and approval workflows

Vendor Management:

• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and address inquiries in a professional manner
• Collaborate with procurement to ensure proper documentation and resolve discrepancies

Workday Expertise:

• Utilize Workday financial systems for accounts payable functions
• Leverage Workday functionalities to streamline and optimize the accounts payable process

Payment Processing:

• Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring compliance with payment terms
• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies promptly

Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate accounts payable reports using Workday and analyze data for accuracy
• Assist in the preparation of month-end close activities related to accounts payable

Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
• In-depth knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices
• Hands-on experience with Workday financial systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
