Personal Trainer Salary : $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Personal Trainer Hours : 15 - 25 hours per week. Shifts available: Monday - Friday: 9:00am to 12:00pm Monday - Friday: 12:00pm to 5:00pm and Monday - Friday: 5:00pm to 8:00pm. (part-time)
Personal Trainer Responsibilities :
- Conducts personal training sessions including consultations and exercise programming
- Monitors and maintains an inviting, clean and safe environment while assisting members with exercise techniques
- Coaches members in support of their desired behavior change
- Regularly checks on member progress and answers questions related to goal achievement
- Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members
- Conducts post-enrollment interviews to understand new members definition of wellbeing, goals, cultural background, healthcare needs, diverse abilities and interests, and develops plans to meet individual needs
- Accurately track client sessions by following YMCA protocols and ACSM guidelines
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Personal Trainer Qualifications :
- Certified Personal Training certification required (NASM, ACE, ACSM or equivalent)
- CPR, AED and First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire
- One year of personal training experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field highly preferred
- Ability to adapt to member needs and goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals.
