Job Summary Primary responsibility is to drive company vehicles to deliver merchandise to customer jobsites and physically unload the materials to the customer’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities & Duties - Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy.
- Load, organize, and secure trucks according to the sales invoice.
- Responsible for accuracy of each load leaving the yard.
- Deliver and unload materials according to directions and on a timely basis.
- Record delivery information on sales invoice and relay messages from customers on jobsites.
- Maintain Pre-Trip inspections daily on all trucks, forklifts, and delivery vehicles.
- Follow all yard loading and delivery, and yard security procedures.
- Accurately record all merchandise returns on a credit memo.
- Listen to and work with customers.
- Housekeeping in yard and areas assigned to you.
- Loading customer merchandise.
Qualifications & Requirements - High School diploma required.
- Valid Class A CDL is required.
- Physical strength to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to react quickly to problems and respond to them accurately and professionally.
- Ability to stand/walk for 4 -10 hours daily.
- Ability to operate office equipment.
- Current automobile insurance and a good driving record.
- Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Must be self-motivated and dependable.
