- High Level
Understanding of Technology
- This person
needs to keep current with technology changes in the world to be able to
understand the licensing implications of technology projects within your
organization. The person does not need to be able to install servers but
does need to understand clustering options, virtual technologies, cores
versus sockets and the basic functionality of the software and technology
deployed.
- Excellent
organizational and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to
deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a
broad spectrum of products and services.
- Strong Data
Analytics skills – Candidate should possess necessary skills and
experience in performing in depth Data Analytics as it pertains to the
various elements of Software Asset Management.

- Etc.
- Experience
working in a large-scale enterprise environment for Federal, State, or
Local governments or related private sector entities.
- Proven
researching ability.
- Bachelor’s
degree in business, Finance or a related field or work experience
equivalent
- Minimum (2)
years direct work experience in a software management or purchasing and
procurement capacity, specifically as it related to software purchasing.
Desired Skills:
· IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools
experience – ServiceNow a plus.
· Experience interpreting licensing terms and
conditions (ULA’s)
· Asset Management professional certifications.
· Solid working knowledge of
current IT technologies, including clustering, virtual and physical server
platforms, as well as cloud and on-site hosting environments as they pertain to
software licensing.
