Job description
The Disaster Resiliency Project Technician assists in outreach and marketing in support of various SHE programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with outreach events in sett up and hosting.
- Engage with the public and promote the organization’s programs.
- Communicate effectively with participants and representatives of public agencies and businesses.
- Explain educational material in a manner that speaks to both educational and cultural differences.
- Capture and report leads of people interested in organization’s programs.
- Assist with capturing narratives for reporting purposes.
- Assist with marketing needs such as photography set up take down.
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of inventory of marketing materials.
- Assist with presentation preparations.
- Communicate outreach outcomes and public’s perception of materials.
- Process apparel orders checking for accuracy of deliveries.
- Work collaboratively with employees beyond the Disaster Resiliency team to include all of SHE.
- Performs other duties as required by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE OF
- Standard office procedures and basic computer skills.
- Public speaking and customer service.
ABILITY TO
- Follow oral and written instructions.
- Perform correct mathematical calculations.
- Adjust to changes in the workload.
- Accurately perform repetitive tasks.
- Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- An appropriate vehicle for work use may be required.
- A valid California Driver’s License and current automotive liability coverage may be required.
- Travel within the service area - rental car or mileage paid.
- Some night and weekend work is required.
