Job Summary:
The Sports Brand Solutions group is a team of experts that manage sponsorship strategy, ideation, and execution specific to assigned sports or addressable properties. The primary function of the team is to maximize revenue across the entire ESPN Platform by working closely with Disney Ad Sales, ESPN Production/Product/Programming, and advertisers.
Job Summary:
The Manager, Sports Brand Solutions, will be responsible for supporting our sponsorship business specifically for ESPN Bet. In this effort, the individual will have core job functions that include but are not limited to the below:
- Be an expert/“go to” on key assignments (e.g. Streaming, ESPN Films, ESPN+, Fantasy)
- Integrate within Sports Brand Solutions to collaborate and share addressable expertise
- Project manage new digital innovation initiatives
- Communicate sales strategy across Disney Ad Sales
- Collaborate with internal parties to build general and custom opportunities
- Pitch sponsorships both internally and externally with clients
- Lead post-sale execution across purview
- Guide junior team members across various business functions
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
- Manage Property Assignment
- Produce Sales Opportunities
- Build consensus amongst stakeholders for ideation process (Editorial/Production/Product/Programming/Revenue)
- Create corresponding pitch materials
- Vet all custom requests with internal parties on behalf of Sales
- Attend client meetings to pitch ideas
- Develop and Communicate Addressable Strategies
- Create educational materials for SBS and Sales
- Work across Sports Brand Solutions team to apply strategies to their portfolios across Streaming, Fantasy and Digital Innovation
- Lead Digital Innovation
- Collaborate with internal parties to apply Sales lens to evolving addressable landscape
- Vet new ideas across all internal parties to develop new revenue-generating opportunities
- Guide/mentor junior staff on how to evangelize addressable opportunities
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
- 5+ years of marketing or sponsorship experience
- Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GoogleDocs
- Highly organized, time management skills, ability to multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to think outside the box
- Team player with the desire to do whatever it takes
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred

The hiring range for this position in New York is $104,200 to $143,200 per year, and in Los Angeles, CA is $102,000 to $136,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
