Job description
The City of Nacogdoches is currently accepting applications for the Plant Operator position. A Class C Surface Water certificate is preferred, but if you don't have one, don't worry! You'll be trained on the job until you attain it. The starting hourly rate for the trainee position is $14.28, $15.00 per hour for the Operator I position, and $17.36 per hour for the Operator II position. This role involves performing operational, laboratory, and maintenance functions in a Wastewater Treatment and Ground Water operation. The duties are aimed at ensuring the safe treatment of wastewater and groundwater, as well as the disposal of domestic and commercial waste materials. The job also includes performing standard laboratory tests, as well as assisting with plant and facilities maintenance.
