Job Summary

The Darragh Lab at Indiana University, Bloomington is recruiting a Research Technician. The lab focuses on understanding the evolution of insect pheromone biosynthesis. The job involves laboratory support tasks.

Department Specific Responsibilities
  • Prepares stock solutions.
  • Provides general lab support, and ordering supplies.
  • Carries out experiments involving protein expression and enzyme assays.
Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or in related field
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • Previous research experience in evolutionary biology, biochemistry, or molecular biology
SKILLS

Required
  • Ability to follow lab protocols and keep accurate written records
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team where excellent communication skills

Advertised Salary

$13.00 -$16.00 per hour depending on experience.
