Registered Nurse Weekender ED, UHS Binghamton General Hospital United Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse Weekender ED to join our BGH Emergency Department 02 department at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Shift: All Shifts

Salary range:
$37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience. Registered Nurse Weekender ED / Overview Weekender RNs will work Saturday and Sunday 12/ Hour shifts each weekend while being paid for 30 hours. The goal of this program is to create predictable staffing schedules for weekend shifts. While nurses in this program can still pick up extra weekday hours, they will primarily work weekend shifts.
The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services Hospitals and Nursing Division policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:A graduate of an accredited school of NursingPreferred:Bachelor’s of Science degree in NursingPrevious clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory settingLicense/CertificationMinimum Required:Current New York State Registered Nurse License.CPR within 3 months of hireACLS within one year of hirePALS within one year of hirePreferred:CCRN
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.
Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.
Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.
