Pay rate: $38-43/hour - Depending on Education and Experience
Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized, and motivated individual who will work on-site within the BPD (biopharmaceutical product development)-Molecular Science team at Waltham, MA location. Primary responsibilities would include but not limit to molecular cloning, small-scale RNA production and purification. You will work closely with molecular biologists, RNA biologists, process engineers and chemists to support the development of self-amplifying mRNA (sa-mRNA) platform technology and process.
Responsibilities: - You will provide analytical laboratory support of vaccine process and product development programs.
- You will support execution and development of laboratory assays in support of sa-mRNA development.
- You will support projects to improve future growth through process improvements and use scientific knowledge to ensure studies are well designed, documented, and have clear, measurable benefits.
- You should be able to work effectively within the group and across the site to collaborate as needed.
Skills or Requirements: - Organization, multitasking, attention to details and adherence to timelines are critical.
- Support team members and deliver lab responsibilities as assigned.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education/Experience: - B.S./MS degree in molecular biology or related field with 0-3 years of industry experience.
- Hands on experience with molecular biology techniques, for example electrophoresis, enzymatic reactions, in vitro transcription, nucleic acid purifications
Preferred / Nice to Have Qualifications: - Experienced in mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays and florescence/Luminescence-based readouts is preferred
- Experience in developing, validating, optimization and deploying Cell and Molecular Biology based methods is highly desired.
