Per Diem Nurse Practitioner
Western New England is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner. The Per Diem Nurse Practitioner would provide quality, comprehensive urgent and ongoing health care to Western New England University students and employees. This position is per-diem and reports directly to the Medical Director regarding clinical issues and activities related to the delivery of medical care. The Per Diem Nurse Practitioner is expected to be familiar with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the University and Center for Health and Well-Being and work collaboratively to achieve them. They must be knowledgeable of, and follow, all Center policies and procedures, as well as pertinent state and federal regulations. The Per Diem Nurse Practitioner provides full scope of practice care services, which fall under his/her field of training and up to date standards of care. Care includes diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance of their patients.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's Degree or Doctorate Degree from accredited APRN Program
- Valid Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner License
- Current State /Federal Controlled Substance Prescribing/DEA
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in urgent care or family practice setting.
- Certification by one of the Nurse Practitioner certifying bodies (ANCC or AANP) as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Current CPR Certification
