Are you seeking growth, collaboration and opportunity in the Insurance Industry? We have a new opening for our rapidly growing commercial lines Insurance carrier. This company is focused on providing coverage for specialized risks. This role will handle liability claims of moderate complexity with minimal supervision. This Claims Specialist would be part of our fun and fast paced team at our administrative office in Dublin, Ohio. The successful candidate will become a member of our Claims Department, with responsibility for investigating, evaluating, and channeling liability claims of low to moderate severity and complexity to successful resolution.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Investigates, evaluates, and resolves liability claims.
• Drafts coverage position letters with minimal supervision.
• Sets reserves within prescribed authority.
• Demonstrates excellent judgment in the evaluation and handling of claims.
• Conveys information to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
• Complies with applicable company procedures and policies, statutes, regulations, and other legal requirements governing claims handling.
• Maintains necessary adjuster licenses, including completing required continuing education.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities and Education Requirements:

• Prior experience handling commercial general liability claims or other litigated claims.
• This opportunity may be a great fit for an Attorney, with litigation experience looking to transition to a non-traditional role.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Demonstrates strong written, verbal and effective listening skills.
• Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with co-workers.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications and electronic claim management systems.
