Controller
We’re seeking an experienced hands-on financial executive to oversee our small and talented team in the role of Controller. The ideal candidate will have proven manufacturing experience, and be a skilled financial analyst who is a strong communicator. The responsibilities for this role include all financial reporting and assisting senior management to improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.
Objectives of this Role - Provide comprehensive financial updates and analysis to senior management
- Assist in guiding financial decisions
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
- Achieve goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action
- Maximize accounting efficiency through innovative process development
- Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities - Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and government regulatory requirements
- Maintain internal control safeguards for all company assets
- Assist in establishing financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards by remaining knowledgeable about existing, new, and future legislation
- Ability to support senior management in providing sound business advice
- Oversee and support accounting team and create an environment of trust and productivity
Skills and Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field (CPA Preferred)
- Working knowledge of finance, law and regulatory standards (GAAP) and Tax standards
- Strong understanding of economic and banking processes
- Proven manufacturing experience with a focus on streamlining accounting processes
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
