Job description
FOREIGN DISCLOSURE OFFICER (FDO) ADMIN SUPPORT (AFMDS):
Bowhead is seeking a Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) Admin Support at Shaw AFB, SC to support 15 th Air Force in advising, assisting, advocating, integrating, and certifying (A3IC) its Force Elements at assigned wings and Direct Reporting Units (DRU). The FDO assists in the organization and management of foreign disclosure initiatives/activities that establish Air Force wide information release and technology transfer policy and guidelines for international programs, within assigned portfolio, especially those involving C2, mission generation elements, combat support capabilities and related systems and training.
- Support the determination of when an exception to National Disclosure Policy is required based on interpretation of National Disclosure Policy (NDP-1). Assist in the development of exceptions to National Disclosure Policy (ENDPs) for staffing in the Air Staff, and submission to the National Disclosure Policy Committee
- Assist the proponent for Air Force requests submitted to the National Disclosure Policy Committee (NDPC). Assist in formulating the Air Force position and develops ENDPs on requests submitted by other US government agencies
- Assist in managing and implementing Air Force processes to disclose classified and military controlled unclassified information and technology with regard to C2 and mission generation force elements, and combat support systems. Disclosure processes involve coordinating/authorizing release of classified information and material, review of US industry export licenses applications, foreign national visits to 15 AF assigned and tenant bases, as well as defense contractor facilities, placement of foreign officials within Air Force HQ, subordinate units and industry organizations, delegation of disclosure authority to field foreign disclosure offices, exceptions to NDP and documenting disclosure actions
- Assists with requests for the authorization of disclosure of documents, briefings and other forms of classified and controlled unclassified information to foreign governments and international organizations.
- Graduate from an approved service-level foreign disclosure officer training course. Member must attain a Delegation of Disclosure Authority Letter (DDL) approval by 15 AF/CC within 180 days of hire
- 3 years of experience with the National Disclosure Policy (NDP), the Arms Export Control Act, or other USG, DoD or Air Force policies and directives which govern the release of military information to foreign governments and international organizations
- 3 years of experience in politico-military affairs, and US security assistance programs, US defense alliances, personnel exchange programs, intelligence sharing programs, US country and regional defense policies, combined exercise programs, and current US coalition operations with foreign partners
- Possess a Bachelor's degree
- 1 year of experience as a foreign disclosure representative highly preferred.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
