Position Summary:
The Strategic Pricing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of pricing optimization, ensuring actions to expand margin, and remaining competitive. The Strategic Pricing Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and legal departments.
Job Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with the company's objectives, market positioning, and product lifecycle stages.
- Analyze market dynamics, customer segments, and competitive landscape to identify pricing opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, finance, and product development) to align pricing strategies with business goals.
- Conduct thorough pricing analysis using data-driven approaches and market insights to optimize pricing structures.
- Evaluate product performance in various markets and adjust pricing strategies accordingly to maximize revenue and market share.
- Monitor and analyze pricing trends, cost changes, and customer behavior to adapt pricing models proactively.

- Implement and maintain pricing policies and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance across products and regions.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop pricing proposals for new products or modifications to existing offerings.
- Work closely with finance to evaluate pricing impact on margins, profitability, and overall financial objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align pricing strategies with sales targets, product positioning, and market demands.
- Communicate pricing strategies effectively across the organization, providing guidance and support to relevant teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive pricing strategies to anticipate market shifts and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify pricing opportunities and threats and recommend appropriate actions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Management Responsibilities:
This position manages the following positions: 1-3 Pricing Analysts
Physical Attributes:
- May sit for extended periods of time.
- Utilize dexterity abilities to perform typing, operate a computer and other office equipment, to perform filing, and related job responsibilities and attention to detail competence.
- Spend significant time reading both on paper and on a computer.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of product pricing experience.
- 2+ years of management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or professional certifications are advantageous.
- Extensive experience in pricing management, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Strong knowledge of pricing management principles,
- Proficient in using enterprise software model building and financial software such as SAP.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with global treasury practices, regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
