Position Information: - Salary Range: $149k - $190k Annually (DOE)
- Hybrid Office Schedule: Tue/Wed/Thur in Office & Mon/Fri Remote

Job Summary: The Director of Treasury will be responsible for leading and developing the Treasury team, implementing Treasury process improvements, and maintaining and executing treasury functions. Those functions include, but are not limited to, allocating cash balances, maintaining investment activity and records, and preparing forecasts to ensure continued and improved fiscal responsibility of ongoing liquidity and debt management of the GK Management corporate entities and properties under management. He/she will ensure processes and procedures are in place to produce accurate and timely reporting and meet the company’s objectives, needs, and reporting requirements.
Essential Functions - Oversee daily operations of the Treasury department, including intercompany transfers, bank reconciliations, and cash management.
- Manage the organization's cash and liquidity, including forecasting cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity and working capital to meet operational and strategic needs, and maximizing investment returns on cash reserves in accordance with the company’s investment policies.
- Lead and manage a treasury team and assist in establishing departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
- Implement new processes and improve existing processes to achieve companywide objectives.
- Oversee and/or assist in the implementation of treasury and other financial systems. Ensure such systems integrate effectively with the ERP (RealPage or equivalent) system and financial reporting tools.
- Manage special projects, including preparation, documentation, and project management for senior executive management, ownership, and outside partners.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions to ensure access to capital and maximizing financial flexibility. Plan, perform, and execute transitions, as needed.
- Recommend and execute investment strategies for excess cash.
- Abstract and summarize debt and other financial agreements. Proactively monitor compliance with covenants and lender/contractual requirements.
- Participate in the debt financing process, including developing and analyzing financing and underwriting calculations to provide executive management information required for decision making and maintaining lender relationships.
- Assist with developing a long-term debt management strategy.
- Ensure the accuracy of property distributions to ownership and subsequent recontribution to pooled investment funds.
- Calculate and communicate capital calls and buyouts to ownership. Demonstrate understanding of tax consequences and considerations in equity transactions, 1031 exchanges, TIC rollups. Calculate current and future state ownership percentages to optimize tax strategy.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments such as FP&A, Tax, Asset Management, and Legal on transaction support.
- Maintain partnership database.

- Well-developed understanding of accounting systems to produce financial reporting and ability to work in a changing environment.
- Property management accounting and/or RealPage/Intacct accounting system experience not required but is a plus.
Minimum Qualifications Required - Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related degree required.
- Advanced degree and/or CPA preferred.
- Must have 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably with 5 years’ experience in a mid to senior level management position.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Must have a STRONG background in using Excel with a preference for advanced skills.
- Capital markets experience required.
- Real estate experience preferred.
