Aerotek is hiring IMMEDIATELY for an EHS Coordinator in Newark, DE. This position is a direct-hire with full benefits & a generous 401k match!

:

The EHS Coordinator is responsible for implementing & administering plant safety programs in accordance with federal and state regulations to provide a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA requirements and local jurisdictions. This position will assist the development, implementing, and administering of safety trainings. This position will also assist management with routine monthly inspection of workplaces, provide promotional materials encouraging safety in the workplace, investigate accidents and develop measures to prevent reoccurrences, and serve as the plant resource for best work practices.

Skills/Qualifications:

+ 2+ years in progressive work experience in safety related or with safety emphasis. Exposure to & knowledge of safety & regulatory requirements.

+ Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations

+ Influence others to achieve improved safety performance

+ Experience user of Microsoft Windows Software, SAP experience is a plus

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; well organized; productive/efficient work habits

+ Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, both oral and written
