Director - Economic Consulting

S&P Global

Location

Washington DC | United States

Job description

About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use):
13 Director - Economic Consulting

The Team:

The Global Intelligence and Analytics (GIA) consulting team supports our customers with a horizonal view of the geographies, sectors, and environments that shape the world in which they, their suppliers, and their customers operate. Our consultants design unique solutions using unparalleled data and insight spanning economics and industry, supply chain and logistics, geopolitics, and risk intelligence. We integrate these three practice areas through custom models, scenarios, indices, and analysis systems to inform critical decisions across a diverse range of workflows and sectors.

The Impact:

This role presents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping our customers' strategies and planning. The successful candidate will lead client engagements, developing technical and strategic solutions together with fellow consultants, best-in-class researchers, subject matter experts, and data and analytics teams. The project work will focus on analyzing policy issues- specifically trade and FTA policies, trade economics, direct investment flows, economic impact, and scenario analysis.

The Middle East is our fastest growing region with the most diverse client set, spanning government ministries, industrial/manufacturing, energy, technology, and mining firms, to name a few. Increasingly the Middle East is also characterized by countries in transition, moving from an extensive focus on petroleum and related products into more open and diversified economies, more reliant upon trade in merchandise and services. Our client's partner with us for insight and expertise to help shape their global trade relationships, trade and FTA policies and opportunities, macro/microeconomic reform initiatives; to support growth strategies, identify operating risks, and communicate the economic and social impact of these initiatives to their stakeholders.

What's in it for you:

Responsibilities: What We're Looking For: Flexible Working:
