Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Educational Program Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in enhancing the academic journey of students within our district. AYou will collaborate closely with district and school-level personnel to ensure the effective implementation of elementary and secondary school curriculum, instructional programs, and research-based best practices. You will utilize a wealth of data to monitor student progress and provide invaluable support to enhance instruction and student learning across designated regions, all while aligning efforts with area superintendents.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in utilizing various academic and behavioral databases.
Strong grasp of research-based instructional and behavioral practices.
Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to education, including budgeting and fiscal requirements.
Effective collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and present information clearly and concisely.
Ability to analyze and interpret student achievement data for informed decision-making.
Experience in delivering professional development tailored to meet diverse needs.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
Education, Training, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in elementary or secondary education or related field.
Demonstrated success in teaching.
Experience in designing and delivering professional development using various modalities.
Certification and License Requirements:
Hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator's License in elementary or secondary education.
Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license as per State of North Carolina requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in leading effective teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough data analysis of district and school-level academic and behavioral data.
Coordinate programmatic recommendations based on data analysis outcomes.
Provide targeted support for schools based on data-driven insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to establish long- and short-term goals for instructional improvement.
Assist in the skill development of School Support Teams and other stakeholders.
Support the implementation of a balanced assessment system, including progress monitoring tools.
Foster collaboration across divisions and participate in cross-functional teams to achieve system-wide goals.
Provide support to schools in developing effective behavioral and academic systems.
Engage with academic teams to directly improve student achievement outcomes in designated regions.
Stay abreast of research and policy changes affecting instruction, curriculum, and educational environments.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
This role operates in a professional office environment with mostly low to moderate noise levels. Standard office equipment such as computers and copiers will be used routinely. The position may require direct interaction with school system staff, students, parents, external agencies, and the community. Work involves light physical exertion, including driving automotive equipment.
