Cardiothoracic Surgeon
Location:Tulane University School of Medicine Department of Surgery, is currently seeking a highly qualified Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery and its growing practice in New Orleans and the greater New Orleans area.
The successful candidate should be a junior to mid-career level surgeon and would meet the requirements for appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor, at the medical school and have an interest in growing clinical trials. This position will include clinical care via face to face and virtual modalities, supervising surgical residents, and participation in the procedural components of the section and the professional evaluation and quality improvement programs.
Qualifications:Candidates will be board-certified by the ABTS and have a demonstrated formal training and experience in mitral valve repair, complex valve surgery, coronary artery bypass grafting and mechanical circulatory support, Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) implantation, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
The applicant must qualify for a Louisiana medical license.
