Job description

We are currently seeking a talented commercial attorney to join our legal and compliance team. While we prefer candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are open to considering remote locations depending on the candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of day-to-day sales and commercial legal processes, collaborating closely with the sales team and other departments to achieve company objectives and drive legal initiatives.
Negotiate and draft complex sales transactions, including SaaS agreements, with various customers and partners across different industries and scales.
Provide counsel on telecommunications, service level agreements, and data privacy frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of standard agreements, creating playbooks and clauses for our contract lifecycle management tool.

Requirements:
JD plus 10-15 years of combined law firm and in-house legal department experience, with a focus on drafting and negotiating complex agreements in a tech sales environment.
Extensive experience negotiating SaaS agreements, data protection agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, and reseller agreements for technology companies.
Familiarity with global operations to support multiple time zones and cultures.
Passion for developing collaborative relationships with legal and compliance teammates and peers.
Strong understanding of Cloud business capabilities and processes.
Dedication to providing an exceptional customer experience.

Additional Details:
Fully remote role for candidates residing at least 50 miles away from our San Francisco or San Ramon office locations; hybrid for those within 50 miles.
