Job description
We are a privately owned company, founded 1924, with 5000+ emplyees manufacturing, supplying and delivering home improvement and floor care products across our power tool, power tool accessories, and hand tool products.
- Development and implement a new generation of leading-edge, high-speed, automated manufacturing assembly and test equipment for power tools
- Mentor and coach team of automation engineers in the designing, prototyping, testing, and commissioning of automated solutions for a variety of projects
- Lead the development of collecting CTQs, concepts, schematics, test plans, and processes for new automation systems development
- Programming of industrial control systems consisting of PC and PLC based applications utilizing SCADA methodology
- Responsible for building upon established standards for electrical/controls and software engineering aspects of design, testing, and start-up for our manufacturing assembly and test solutions
- Design with lean intent/design for manufacturing (flow, ergonomics and safety of production associates)
- Travel domestically and internationally for machine and/or concept evaluations, and factory acceptance. Estimated yearly travel: 15%.
At least 5+ years experience with:
- Design/Construction/Programming of Automated Manufacturing Assembly
- PLC Programming
- Communication Protocols: IO-Link/EtherCAT/Ethernet IP/OPCUA/CAN or TCP
- LabView Programming
- Test Systems Assembly Level
