Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Therapist to join our growing team. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism by providing personalized music therapy services. You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, track progress, and collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure each client receives the best possible care.
What You'll Do:
Conduct music therapy assessments to identify individual needs and goals.
Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Track data and report on progress to measure the effectiveness of therapy interventions.
Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviors as outlined in individual plans.
Complete client billing and other necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with company policies and regulations.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution.
MT-BC certification from the Certification Board of Music Therapists.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and a passion for helping others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
