The Amazon Robotics (AR) Operations organization is Amazon’s manufacturing arm for industrial robotics. We manufacture high-quality robotics for fulfillment and transportation centers across Amazon. It’s an operation that works cross-functionally with Engineering and Supply Chain teams. The Continuous Improvement Leader will be responsible for developing strategy and deploying initiatives throughout the facilities by managing programs and assisting teams to achieve higher levels of performance and driving associate engagement.
In this role, you will be responsible for using Lean - Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives as part of Amazon Robotics' Operational Excellence philosophy. This person will work across multiple sites and oversees all aspects of projects/program. They will set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project/programs as well as reporting the status of project/programs and overall progress to goals.
Key job responsibilities
• Act as a champion for continuous improvement, managing manufacturing improvement activities in an open, enthusiastic, and positive manner, to encourage participation and development of a culture of continuous improvement at all levels.
• Create and deploy strategic plans and establish goals specific to continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify, plan and implement lean projects within the company
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the development and delivery of continuous improvement content and training
• Define and Implement Daily Management and Standard Work programs
• Facilitate kaizen and lean events across the sites.
• Review performance indicators (KPI's) for each area and identify projects to introduce improvements.
• Manage the delivery of effective communication links across and within departments with regards to CI activities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with 3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement leadership role
- Experience in successful deployment of Lean and Six Sigma tools, including: Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Facilitation, Kanban, Visual Controls, 5S, etc
- Ability to drive consensus, obtain buy-in from senior leadership, and lead successful change initiatives by setting priorities, removing barriers, and empowering high-performing teams
- Excellent business communication skills
