Billing Support Representative

Job description
We are seeking a Billing Support Representative to support a Public Utilities company in Tualatin OR.
This is a hybrid role contract role open to local candidates (4 days onsite).
Duration: 12 months with possible extension.
Shift: 7 AM 4 PM
Job Summary:
This role will be utilized to target areas of work that are either behind or need targeted support to ensure they do not fall behind. Each day there will be an assigned work task and you will use a spreadsheet of workload to ID what needs to be completed and to capture progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyzes investigates and negotiates billing issues to respond to inquiries; when billing needs adjustments exceptions and corrections and obtain approval.
- Review and analyze data reports.
- Responds to customers billingrelated questions via various channels; informs customers about the companys policies processes and procedures.
- Creates maintains or removes persons and accounts in the automated billing system; logs and tracks customer contacts and interactions.
- Processes and documents employee discounts; processes billing adjustments exceptions and corrections.
- Calculates and prepares reimbursements.
- Documents and updates work processes.
- Recommends process improvements; processes bills and documents accounts.
- Ensures time lines are met.
Requirements
Education:
Required:
- 35 years of customer service related experience
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic Math skills
Preferred:
- Previous billing experience
- Analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
