Job description
Warren County is seeking a Junior Planner. This is a beginning professional level planning position involving assignments related to various phases of municipal, community, county and/or regional planning programs and projects. The work may include assignments relating to small scale individual planning projects or single aspects of larger planning projects and programs, including the use of Geographic Information Systems to perform spatial analysis and prepare maps. The work is carried out in accordance with well-established and accepted professional planning techniques and procedures, under the direct supervision of a higher-level planning or GIS professional. May be required to attend evening meetings in various localities related to assignments. Does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in planning, landscape architecture, environmental studies, geography, natural resources or related field.
RESIDENCY: Must be a resident of Warren County or a contiguous County at time of appointment.
SALARY: $48,983 (Base Salary)
Position will be filled based on Civil Service requirements. A provisional appointment will be made with examination to be held at a later date. Candidate must meet civil service requirements for appointment following establishment of eligible list.
