Job Description
Job Summary
General Summary
Provides and promotes patient comfort, safety, independence, and overall well-being by carrying out patient's mobility plan of care. Utilizes proper body mechanics to support mobility goals, support turning schedules to reduce pressure injuries, and minimize patient falls.
1.Uses proper body mechanics and techniques to prevent injury to both the patient and healthcare professional.
2.In partnership with the clinical team, utilizes clinical data to carry out an individualized daily mobility plan of care.

3.Supports purposeful rounding and maintains environment to minimize the risk for falls.

4.Participates in turning schedules for patients at risk of pressure injuries.

5.Maintains, cleans and sterilizes mobility equipment, including wheelchairs, stretchers and walkers. Conducts regular inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition and reports any defects for repair or replacement.

6.Reinforces patient education and activities of daily living (ADLs).
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing (MBON) or two (2) semesters of clinical experience from a nursing program required.
One (1) year of previous experience preferred.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
