Education: High School Diploma or GED Months/Years of Experience: Seven (7) years of applicable experience supporting engineering, design, or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization; or three (3) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school and four (4) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area; and the following additional requirements: At least six (6) years of the seven (7) years of experience must include successful completion of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship. A valid driver's license. Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance. Duties: Perform engineering technician tasks in support of aviation test programs. Support the testing of military assets using established methods and procedures. Perform mechanical modifications to various military assets. Preparation of test items including manual lifting/unpacking/packing of hardware. Perform work in a laboratory and outdoor setting. Capture and document data using manual and IT formats from tests and test assets. Work with other testing labs in the organization through cross-functional training activities.
