Python Test Automation Engineer

Unison Systems is partnering with our national telecommunications client of the Englewood area. Our client is looking for a Python Test Automation Engineer to work with their operation network team and product deployment team to build test case automation to accelerate delivery. This person will develop scripts to test against devices. 

This person will follow the company software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs. Assist in preparing technical design specifications based on functional requirements and analysis documents. Review functional requirements, analysis and design documents and provides feedback. Collaborate with other development staff to achieve quality and consistency. Participate in architecture, design and code reviews. Develop and maintain operational and system level documentation. Ideal candidate would have 5- 10 years of experience. This will be a long-term contract opportunity.

• QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY: Experience working in software development/automation teams, Design, develop software applications within Agile software development life cycle
• Experience with Linux systems and administration
• Good knowledge of network including TCP/IP, SSH etc.
• Experience in automated testing frameworks. Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP and Apache.
• Experience and Proven ability in writing Python, JAVA/C++, Java scripts, Perl scripts, Shell scripts, TCL in variety of development IDE including Eclipse, Spirent iTest, PyCharm for automation development and testing
• Experience in Bug Tracking, Reporting tool using Git, Jira
• Solid skills in detail oriented and multi-tasking management, trouble shooting, ability to identify and capture an issue, as well clearly communicate the steps necessary to recreate an issue
• Solid experience in analyzing User Requirements, Functional and Technical Specifications.
• Experience with software security principles and patterns.
• Solid Experience and skills in documentation & communication skills, both written and verbal.
