We are seeking a Front-End Developer to join our growing Product Development team. The Front-End Developer will work with the User Experience (UX) Architect and Product Owners to make highly-visible and highly-usable contributions to both legacy and greenfield applications. This role is critical to continuing to deliver continuous value to small and medium-sized businesses around the globe who count on BEMO every day to help them securely conduct business in today’s connected world.

Responsibilities & Primary Goals

As Front-End Developer at BEMO, you will bring important client-facing products and applications to life. You will work with the User Experience (UX) Architect and Full-Stack Developers to advocate for the technologies you need to deliver world-class user experiences. You will contribute to foundational design systems that underly all our products. You will help to define, deliver, and to deploy efficient, iterative, and scalable product releases sprint-over-sprint that delight users. You will be a strong advocate for agile and lean start-up working styles because you understand why working this way would be so important to a company of our size. You have a passion for learning and will always advocate for the experience of the end-user.

• Design, code, test, and deliver BEMO products and applications (Azure, .NET, C#) with specific emphasis on front-end and user experience. Execute the established scrum-based product development lifecycle to deliver continuous, measurable value to market.
• Help to refine departmental front-end coding, testing, security, and code review standards.
• Keep pace with the competition and thought-leaders in the user experience space to deliver the most-usable security and compliance systems in the world
• Exhibit strong competency in core professional skills, especially attention to detail, responsiveness, follow-through, and flexibility with a high degree of emotional intelligence and tact.
• Conduct yourself in accordance with BEMO’s core values (accountability, agility, focus, fun, teamwork, and transparency) at all times.
• Work with the User Experience Architect and Product Owners to define, refine, and decompose new product development efforts into achievable slices that deliver continuous value sprint-over-sprint along an appropriate architectural runway.
• Ensure acceptance criteria for all work are achievable in the beginning and met in the end.
• Participate in structured walk-throughs, security reviews, and technical reviews to ensure front-end coding and design follows secure coding and design principles.
• Actively support and participate in all team agile ceremonies.
• Participate in the creation of and maintain design systems for core product lines
• Consistently seeks to improve technical knowledge in Microsoft technology, security, compliance, and competitors by spending a portion of their time dedicated to research and certifications.

Requirements

• BEMO is a global, fully remote company with mainly non-technical stakeholders. As such, excellent written and spoken English communication skills and a strong ability to empathize and engage with others are essential. Without these skills, technical expertise and design experience alone won't be enough to succeed.Demonstrated experience designing and developing front ends for high-profile customer-facing applications in Microsoft cloud environments.
• Contributor to a healthy, efficient, and evolving agile environment (non-denominational sprint-based scrum/kanban in Azure DevOps) and a champion of the business need to deliver continuous user value to market sprint-over-sprint.
• Familiarity with Microsoft cloud technology and applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Partner Center, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft Lighthouse, Microsoft Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Experience mentoring Junior and Intermediate developers to help the team, department, and company grow our capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design (or equivalent) with 3-5 years of experience in front-end development, particularly in lean start-up environments.
• A passion for continuous learning and the enthusiasm and capacity to keep pace with modern usability concepts, technologies, and best practices across all verticals
• Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
• A collaborative team player willing to support colleagues and capable of sharing responsibilities to meet team goals.

Ability to build and maintain a high level of trust with internal teams and stakeholders.

Specialized Knowledge or Skills Preferred

• Deep knowledge of and strong opinions on modern UI/UX concepts and front-end technologies Microsoft Azure certifications a plus (MS-900, AZ-900, etc.)
• Experience simplifying complex systems for non-technical users
• User experience certification a plus (Google UX or similar)
• Experience with both backend and front-end development concepts
• Experience working with a UX Architect, Product Owner, and other developers (front and back end) delivering highly usable systems
• Experience delivering high-quality applications using various testing concepts: Unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, automated testing, and test-driven development.

Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) concepts and their application in UI/UX contexts
